A week and a half late, (and believe me, the mother was grateful the baby waited til she was better!!) Analisa arrived 07/07/09 at 8:57pm weighing in at 7lbs 11 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.
Quinton and I went to my doctors that morning at 9:30, and Dr. Vicky Macy said I was dialated enough and my cervix was good enough, just go to the hospital now (instead of 8pm that night.) We arrived around 11, got started on Pitocin around 12, they broke my water around 1, got an epidural around 2, nursed freaked out around 3 because external monitors are good for nothing so got a lovely internal monitor and was put on oxygen, mothers came in around 4, was a 5 around 5, jumped to a 9 by 6, was left alone for an hour and a half until everyone came in and told me to push around 7:30, baby out by around 9. Like my lovely hazy details? And then!! I cried and cried; I was over come with overwhelming joy. Last: they let me eat again. Yeay!!
The cord- 40 inches long, no joke! It wrapped around her neck three times, was entanged in her body and once she was loose (which was easy, the cord was not tight) the doctor just kept pulling and pulling it out of me hand over hand, lol. Good times. What can I say? I'm good at making nice long cords as well as nice round babies :)
She is named after my mother, Alisa. That is where we got Analisa. Her middle name, Lynn, is after my best and first friend Tami Lynn. (Although multiple relatives are welcome to believe it is after their middle names, lol)
My baby is so pretty. I love her so much. Quinton and I are so happy and so excited (and so scared, and so tired).
