Easter Egg Eggstravaganza

Put on by Grandma Kathleen.

We started the morning at Hillsdale Park, around the corner from our house. We had no idea it would be a huge easter egg hunt! There was probably 500 kids, all with parents. The grass was littered with eggs, and when the hunt started... it was not pretty. Analisa got 5 eggs! Then we saw another little girl with none. She was standing on the very empty grass crying. It was so sad! So I said "Analisa! Do you want to share your eggs?" And she was so sweet. She had just as much fun putting eggs in this little girl's basket as she did getting them off the grass during the hunt. As we continued to leave, we saw another little girl about Analisa's age with a huge basket just overflowing with eggs. You know that little toddler didn't put those all in there. Is it really necessary to push and shove and get as many eggs into your kids' basket? There's no golden ticket inside! Just Toosie Rolls!! I was so disgusted by it. Especially with that other little girl standing on the grass crying with not one egg afterwards.

We almost went to that egg hunt, but I was worried it would turn out like you're describing. I'm glad you're teaching your kids to share!
